Mercedes-Benz released Mercedes-Benz Future Truck 2025 full gallery and details

Mercedes-Benz has released fresh details and images about a brand new truck which promises a "revolution on the motorways" for the year 2025.

Start up the engine and LEDs begin to illuminate the front mask and headlights while changing directions will enable an orange flashing pattern to warn traffic participants about the truck's intentions. The lights turn white when the truck is being driven manually and blue when the autonomous mode is enabled.

Step inside the cabin and you will notice an "almost puristic" design with an uncluttered layout combined with natural materials to create a relaxing environment. When travelling in autonomous mode, the driver can recline his seat and turn it by 45 degrees to adopt a more comfortable working position while using the removable tablet.

More importantly, the Mercedes-Benz Future Truck 2025 is equipped with radar sensors and camera technology granting the possibility of autonomous driving. It boasts a "Highway Pilot" system similar to the autopilot function of an aircraft while a radar sensor installed in the lower area of the front end scans the road up ahead in both long (250 meters) and short (70 meters) ranges.

There's also a stereo camera above the instrument panel support behind the windscreen scanning 100 meters up ahead and 45 degrees horizontally & 27 degrees vertically. This stereo camera is capable of identifying single or two-lane roads, stationary or moving objects, pedestrians, as well as any other objects within the monitored area.

The Mercedes-Benz Future Truck 2025 is more than just for show as a prototype was actually built and tested this past summer at speeds of up to 50 mph (80 km/h) in "realistic traffic situations" on a section of the A14 highway in Magdeburg, Germany.

GMC introduced 2015 GMC Sierra Elevation Edition

GMC today introduced the 2015 GMC Sierra Elevation Edition, a new entry to the sport pickup truck market. The Elevation Edition, which goes on sale later this year, offers a combination of style and content unavailable from competitors in the sport truck segment.

“Much in the same way the Sierra Denali and Sierra HD Denali models raised the standard for premium pickup trucks, the Sierra Elevation Edition will surprise and excite customers shopping for a sport pickup,” said Duncan Aldred, U.S. vice president, Buick and GMC. “With its striking looks, sophisticated connectivity features and legendary capability, the Elevation Edition raises the standard of what a sport pickup truck can be.”

Built on the strong foundation of the standard 2015 Sierra 1500 double-cab pickup, the 2015 Sierra Elevation Edition incorporates a body-colored grille surround, color-keyed door handles, mirror caps, side moldings and front and rear bumpers designed to give Elevation a sporty monochromatic appearance.

Elevation models also feature premium headlamps with distinctive light-emitting diode, or LED, lighting, fog lamps, and black-painted 20-inch aluminum-alloy wheels.

All Sierra Elevation Edition models are equipped with remote keyless entry, power mirrors, a 110-volt AC power outlet, and LED cargo box lighting. Advanced connectivity is included with every Elevation Edition, as a 4.2-inch Intellilink color touchscreen audio system and Bluetooth phone connectivity are standard. Elevation Edition models also feature OnStar with 4G LTE Connectivity, which provides an in-car Wi-Fi hotspot for up to seven devices.

The 2015 Sierra Elevation Edition is offered with two- or four-wheel drive. A 4.3-liter EcoTec3 V-6 engine is standard equipment, and delivers 285 horsepower, 305 lb-ft of torque, and EPA highway ratings up to 24 mpg. A 355-horsepower, 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V-8 is optional.

The 2015 Sierra Elevation Edition will be available at GMC dealerships by the end of 2014. Pricing for the Elevation Edition will be announced later.

Peugeot introduced Peugeot 208 XY JBL limited edition for France

Peugeot has introduced the 208 XY JBL special edition that will be available only in France.

Built in partnership with car audio specialist JBL, the model will be produced in a limited run of 25 examples. The compact car is equipped with a JBL audio system with 8 speakers, a 240W amplifier and a subwoofer. The sound wave is controlled by the AuraVox equalization software with two modes available – one for when the driver is alone in the car, focusing on his seat, and another one providing a similar experience to all passengers.

In terms of design, the 208 XY JBL comes with a set of 17-inch Mercure Anthra alloy wheels, JBL plates on the front fenders and chromed door handles and mirror cases. Inside the cabin, there are new sports seats, while the standard equipment also includes a touchscreen navigation system, LED daytime running lights, a panoramic roof and a park assist system.

Order books in France are already open and the special edition is offered with two engine options - the petrol 1.6 THP 155 and the diesel 1.6 e-HDi 115 FAP. Prices start 23,350 EUR ($30,075).

Range Rover announced Range Rover Evoque SW1 for Paris Motor Show

Range Rover announced Range Rover Evoque SW1 debuts in Paris Motor Show. The Evoque SW1 is being billed as the "first in a series of 'Inspired by Britain' special editions from Jaguar Land Rover." The British Empire continues to crumble but that hasn't stopped Land Rover from paying tribute to Queen and country with the new Evoque SW1 special edition.

SW1 Special Edition Evoque Design

The colourful SW1 Special Edition Evoque offers co-ordinated features inside and out. Based on the current Dynamic body style, it will be offered in Firenze Red, Fuji White, Loire Blue, Santorini Black and Corris Grey with a contrast Fuji white roof and gloss Fuji white 20" alloy wheels. Stylish Union Flag graphics feature on the rear spoiler and the white door mirror housings. White tick decals also adorn the bodywork - changed to red for the Fuji White paint option.

The cabin continues the theme with Taurus Ebony leather upholstery, door inserts, arm rests and facia trim picked out with contrast Cirrus stitching. A stand-out anodised red finish is applied to the rotary shift controller and shift paddles for models fitted with the 9-speed automatic transmission, while versions with the manual transmission receive a unique themed gear lever insert. Headrests are finished with tags bearing the Union Flag colour graphic, and this is repeated on the carpet mats with Ebony binding. As a finishing touch, the same motif, rendered in monochrome, is etched into the sill plates and vehicle key.

SW1 Special Edition Evoque Monochrome adds a twist by following the style treatment of the Evoque Union, but with the graphics and details presented in a single colour, Based on the Pure body style, it will be available with a choice of Santorini Black, Fuji White and Corris Grey paint finishes, with a contrast black roof on the second two colours. Head-Up Display

Range Rover Evoque is now available with an advanced integrated laser Head-Up Display (HUD). The secondary driver information display projects useful information directly onto the vehicle's windscreen and into the driver's field of vision. In a world first, the Land Rover system features laser holographic techniques, resulting in superior colour saturation, brightness and contrast compared to rival systems, and all in a small, lightweight package. The innovative laser system is more robust against issues such as "washout" - the effect that the glare from sunlight has on inferior LED-based systems.

A further addition to the Range Rover Evoque's suite of innovate technologies, HUD allows drivers to maintain a clear view of the road, while simultaneously receiving key driving information such as road speed, gear position, turn-by-turn navigation, traffic sign recognition, the cruise control set speed and the Automatic Cruise Control (ACC) status, including warnings. The system is fully configurable and customisable all functions can be switched on or off, brightness can be increased or decreased and the vertical position of the display can be adjusted from the cluster menu.

Volkswagen revealed Volkswagen Polo GTI facelift at Paris Motor Show.

Volkswagen has unveiled Volkswagen Polo GTI facelift car ahead of its debut at the Paris Motor Show.

Volkswagen Polo GTI facelift car is powered with a new 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 192 PS (141 kW) and 320 Nm (236 lb-ft) of torque.  It enables the hatchback to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in as little 6.7 seconds, before topping out at 236 km/h (148 mph). Last but not least, the Polo GTI will now be offered with a six-speed manual transmission as well as the familiar double-clutch DSG gearbox.

Looking instantly recognizable, the facelifted is distinguished by a sporty front bumper, honeycomb grille inserts and red accents. The styling changes are less noticeable out back but include a new rear bumper and a dual exhaust system.

The sporty styling continues in the cabin as there's a flat-bottomed steering and sport seats with plaid upholstery. Additional changes are limited but there's gloss black accents and red contrast stitching.

Honda revealed Honda Jazz prototype for Paris Motor Show

Honda to Exhibit Prototype of New Jazz for Europe at Paris Motor Show. Today Honda has released the first images of the new Jazz prototype that will make its public debut next month at the 2014 Mondial de l‘Automobile in Paris.

This prototype introduces a completely new body shell for the popular model, with a sleek and modern design that hints at the significant advances to be introduced in this latest model. The external dimensions have changed with the length being 15mm longer and the wheelbase 30mm longer helping to create an even more spacious cabin.

As part of Honda’s ‘small series’ range, the third generation European Jazz will be built on the company’s global compact platform. It will retain the centre fuel tank layout that is already found in the current model, as well as the Civic and recently-announced HR-V. This space-saving layout delivers genuine customer benefits in terms of versatility, interior practicality and storage solutions. Inside, the highly versatile Honda Magic Seats® will also feature in this latest model.

The new Jazz is set to deliver a more refined and comfortable ride for both the driver and passengers, thanks to a new suspension system.

Due to go on sale in summer 2015, the new European Jazz will offer improved fuel economy and higher performance thanks to its new Earth Dreams Technology engine. The new 1.3 litre i-VTEC petrol engine is supported by either a six-speed manual (replacing the previous five-speed unit) or a CVT transmission.

Ford officially revealed 2015 Ford S-MAX Car

Ford has officially unveiled the second generation S-MAX ahead of its public debut during the Paris Motor Show.

Previewed by the S-MAX Concept at the Geneva Motor Show in 2013, the seven-seat MPV features many of the styling cues from the facelifted Focus and Fiesta. Notable changes compared to the outgoing model are the chrome trapezoidal radiator grille and the sculpted headlights.

Based on the latest Ford Mondeo, the new S-MAX comes with some new practical features like the segment’s first power-folding seats on the second and third rows and the hands-free boot lid, first seen on the Kuga. Ford has also equipped the vehicle with new side airbags at the back, an electronically adjusted steering column and heated and cooled massage front seats.

Details about the engine range are not officially confirmed yet, but the new S-MAX will likely be offered with a 118 bhp (80 kW) 2.0-liter TDCI diesel engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The more powerful 148 bhp (110 kW) and 177 bhp (132 kW) versions of the same unit will be available with either a six-speed manual or a dual-clutch automatic transmission.

On the petrol side we find the new 1.5-liter EcoBoost with 158 bhp (118 kW) and the 237 bhp (177 kW) 2.0-liter EcoBoost. The MPV is expected to be offered with a four-wheel-drive for the first time.

Full details about the 2015 S-MAX will be released during the Paris Motor Show. Sales of the model will start from summer of 2015 at around 30,000 EUR (24,000 pounds).

Toyota announced 2015 Toyota Tundra exclusively with V8 Engines

Toyota has announced a series of changes to the 2015 Toyota Tundra car which is offered exclusively with V8 engines.

First and foremost, the 4.0-liter V6 engine has been dropped from this lineup. This means the truck will be available exclusively with either a 4.6-liter V8 engine that produces 310 bhp (231 kW) and 327 lb-ft (443 Nm) of torque or a 5.7-liter V8 engine that develops 381 bhp (284 kW) and 401 lb-ft (543 Nm) of torque.

Additional changes are limited but there's a new under seat storage tray on select Double Cab models and a newly optional spray-in bed liner. Models equipped with the 5.7-liter V8 engine and the Tow Package will also offer a newly optional Integrated Trailer Brake Controller (ITBC).

Last but not least, is the addition of the Tundra TRD Pro. As we have previously reported, it features a front skid plate, a revised grille and a 2-inch front lift. The model also a retuned suspension and an upgraded interior - among other things.

The 2015 Toyota Tundra is already on sale and pricing starts at $28,410 (excluding destination and delivery fees).

GMC revealed 2015 GMC Sierra Carbon Edition

The 2015 GMC Sierra already offers an unparalleled blend of style and strength, but the new 2015 Sierra Carbon Edition, which will be available at dealers this fall, adds distinctive style to the mix.

“The beauty of the new Sierra lies in its strength and sophistication,” said Stuart Pierce, Sierra marketing manager. “But for customers wanting to stand out and make a strong statement, the Sierra Carbon Edition models are the answer.”

Based on the 2015 Sierra 1500 pickup, the 2015 Sierra Carbon Edition is offered in three different versions, allowing customers to hand-select the truck best suited to their lifestyle.

The striking Sierra Carbon 22 Edition, offered on both Sierra SLE double- and crew cab models, adds distinctive graphics that echo its name. Two carbon fiber appearance graphics emphasize strong forms in the Sierra’s hood, while another graphic dresses up the tailgate panel. Additional exterior touches include a black painted grille, along with body-colored door handles and mirror caps. The Carbon 22 Edition also incorporates four-inch black tubular side assist steps and unique 22-inch black alloy wheels. Carbon 22 Edition models also include fog lamps, remote keyless start, Universal Home Remote, a 110-volt power outlet and dual-zone climate controls.

The Carbon 20 Edition, offered only as a Sierra SLE double cab, incorporates the same painted grille and carbon fiber appearance accents as the Carbon Edition, and rides on distinctive 20-inch aluminum alloy wheels.

The standard Sierra Carbon Edition builds off the standard Sierra 1500 double cab model with many of the same cues used on the Carbon 22 and 20 Edition models. The Carbon Edition shares its black painted grille, carbon fiber graphics, and body-colored trim with other Carbon Edition variants, and also includes additional standard content including remote keyless entry, a 110-volt power outlet and light-emitting diode, or LED, cargo box lighting.
